Overview

SourceCatch Konnect is a branding, marketing, and development agency. The company had no dedicated web presence that matched the quality of work they delivered for clients. The goal was to build one from scratch — something that could showcase the agency's portfolio, communicate its capabilities, and start generating inbound client and career inquiries.

The website was designed collaboratively with the team and developed entirely by me over a four-week sprint.

The Challenge

The previous WordPress site was slow, visually dated, and couldn't express the agency's actual level of craft. It wasn't generating meaningful leads and didn't reflect the work the team was producing.

What the new site needed to do

  • Present the agency's work in a way that immediately communicated quality.
  • Perform significantly better than the WordPress predecessor on speed and SEO.
  • Handle complex, expressive animations without sacrificing stability or load time.

Development Approach

The stack was chosen for performance and creative flexibility: Next.js for static generation and routing, Tailwind for rapid UI work, and GSAP paired with Lenis for scroll-driven animation.

The most technically demanding part of the build was the work page. It features a horizontal scroll layout where each section and component moves independently — a parallax system built with GSAP and Lenis that required careful orchestration to keep motion smooth and intentional rather than chaotic.

Key technical decisions

  • Lenis smooth scroll integrated with GSAP ScrollTrigger for frame-accurate parallax control.
  • Horizontal scroll on the work page with per-component motion paths, not a single uniform scroll offset.
  • Static generation throughout to keep load times fast and SEO clean.

Outcome

The site launched in four weeks and immediately outperformed the previous WordPress site across every measurable dimension. Lighthouse performance hit 87, with SEO, Accessibility, and Best Practices all scoring 100. Contact and career form submissions increased noticeably over the old site, and the work page became a direct demonstration of the agency's development capability to prospective clients.

"The new website completely transformed how we present our work. The animations on the work page are exactly the kind of craft we want clients to associate with us." — Pranav Kothari, Managing Director, SourceCatch Konnect
